Pillars
of Intention

This practice will help you build pillars of intention as a foundation for whatever you want to create.

I love doing this as a ritual, from start to finish, so devoting time in silence or meditating would be great before you start.

You will need a ruler, some colored pencils or markers, and the printed template.

Before you start,

Close your eyes, and take a deep breath in, and out.

Bring your palms together in front of you and rub them together, feel the energy starting to warm them up, inhale deep, and bring your hands to your heart. Take a deep breath in and out, and as you receive your energy, you are opening space to receive information from within.

Repeat the same process, rubbing your palms together, but this time bring your hands to your head, take a deep breath in and out, and receive.

Now, you’re ready to begin.

Place the printed template in front of you; you can tape the edges to a surface to prevent it from moving.

As you can see, the template shows two squares overlapping, you will trace both squares with the color of your preference.

You can use one color for each or the same for both, just feel into it, and pick your colors.

Now you can see clearly that there are 8 points (figure A). Each of these will point towards an energy you would like to bring in.

But before you start writing, you will choose a color to connect opposite points (figure B).

Choose a color to connect the inner points (figure C).

Now choose one color to trace the inner triangles (figure D).

Now this is where the fun begins, you will start to feel the energies one by one, and there are endless ways to do it.

I like to start with the point at the bottom, and since it's the starting point I like to use it for an intention that feels clear to me, as the foundation for everything else; the energy that will start the movement and bring everything together.

With this intention, you can start asking questions or feeling into the connections you created with the lines. This is how I do it, but you can go in any direction.

After writing the first word on the bottom, you can ask: What would be an energy that would reflect this intention? or what energy would help me to bring this to my life?

For example: if I choose Freedom, I could ask how can freedom feel within me… and for me that is Expansion, so that would be the word at the top, the one connecting on the opposite side.

Then I would ask, what energies support or nourish this energy and place one to the left and one to the right, and will continue to feel into the energies/intentions until I complete the eight points of the star.

There is no right or wrong way to do this, you will feel the words as they arrive, trust your intuition.

It’s time to decorate and add any details and colors.

As you start adding details, take time to look at your star, and notice how the lines connecting your intentions are creating new ways to support each other.

Take one more look at your creation, and ask: is this complete?

If the answer is yes, go to the closing.

If you feel that there is something else needed, feel free to add it.

Remember these steps work as a guide, but this is your practice, and you can make it your own way.

Closing:

Close your eyes, take your hands to your heart, and place them one top of the other, take a deep breath in and out, and imagine a radiant golden light surrounding your body, enveloping you like a soft cloud of shimmering golden particles, glowing with warmth all around you…

Take one more deep breath in, and as you exhale bring your hands towards your star, and imagine this golden energy being received by your intentions, nourishing each one of them.

Notice any emotions arriving, any sensations on your body, as you continue breathing in and out slowly.

Take one more deep breath in and as you exhale take your hands towards your forehead, and feel the energy being received by your third eye.

Gently take your hands towards your heart, and imagine the golden light coming back to the center of the chest slowly while you continue breathing in and out.

Release your hands to the sides and open your eyes slowly, allowing the light to come in gently.

If there is any emotion that came through during the meditation and feels like supporting your practice or your intentions, write it on any of the inner points of your star.

Now, you can place it by your altar, or any space that you visit often, to continue to support your vision, intentions, and practice.

with love.
